What Curriculum do you Implement at Baycrest Academy?
Baycrest Academy for Creative Learning provides an individualized, well-rounded curriculum designed to meet the diverse needs of all students. Our program balances academic growth, life skills, and social-emotional development to prepare children for lifelong success.
Core Curriculum Components

Core Knowledge Curriculum – A research-based program that provides a structured sequence in reading, writing, math, science, history, and the arts.

The Good and the Beautiful Language Arts – Engaging literacy instruction that strengthens reading comprehension, grammar, writing, and creativity.

IXL Learning – An adaptive online platform for individualized practice in math & language arts.

Different Resources – Supplemental materials designed for hands-on learning, visual supports, and skill reinforcement for diverse learners.
Do You Offer Therapy Services on Site?
We do not employ in-house therapists. However, we strongly support continuity of care and welcome licensed, DCF-cleared outside therapists (e.g., speech, occupational, physical, or behavioral therapists) to work with students during the school day.


Can My Child Continue Seeing Their Current Therapist at School?
Yes. Outside therapists are permitted to provide services on campus with prior approval.
Parents/guardians must complete a permission form and provide documentation, including proof
of licensing, liability insurance, and DCF Clearinghouse clearance.
Do You Offer Scholarships?
Yes, we accept several Florida state scholarships that help cover tuition and support services
for eligible students.


Which Scholarships do You Accept?
We currently accept the following programs through Step Up for Students and the Florida
Department of Education:

Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) –formerly known as the Gardiner and McKay scholarships

Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) – available general education students as well

How Do I Apply For a Scholarship?
Families can apply directly through Step Up for Students or PEP. We are happy to guide you
through the process—just contact our front office for assistance.


Can My Child be Enrolled while We Wait for Scholarship Approval?
Yes, We work with families to ensure there are no gaps in support while your scholarship
application is processing. Please contact us to discuss your individual situation.
